Oakville Hydro became one of the first utilities in Ontario to acquire meter accreditation status in 1999. Historically, Measurement Canada had retained this status for meter-sealing services. However organizations were given the opportunity to provide these services once quality-assurance systems were in place.
In 2001, Oakville Hydro updated its quality program to conform to S-A-01 quality standards, becoming only the second organization in Ontario to meet this requirement for meter accreditation services.
Oakville Hydro Energy Services quickly earned a reputation for fast, efficient service combined with competitive pricing. It has continued to support this reputation with an 8,000 square foot meter facility, a certified automated electronic test console, test equipment traceable to national standards and highly trained Meter Technicians. Services are available in across Ontario and throughout Canada.
