Payment Options

Method of Payment for Hydro Bills

Oakville Hydro offers various methods to make payment of your invoice as simple and convenient as possible.

Our Office

 

Your bill may be paid at our office located at 861 Redwood Square Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. For your convenience an after hour depository is located just to the left of the front door of our office. Please note that the depository is cleared out once a day at 8:30am.

 
By Mail

 

Use the return envelope provided and send your payment back in the mail. Please be sure to mail your payment 3-5 days prior to the due date on the invoice to avoid incurring overdue interest charges.

 
At most chartered Banks and Trust Companies

 

We provide the option of paying through local banks and trust companies as a convenience to our customers. Please note that when you pay at the bank it can take 3 to 5 business days for that payment to reach us. During that time, we have no way of knowing that you have paid.

 
Pay by Telephone/PC Banking

 

Fast, convenient, 24 hour access and you don't need to leave home.

We accept payments made by Telephone or PC Banking through your financial institution. Please check with your financial institution to find out if they offer this service. Please remember – it can take 3 to 5 business days for us to receive the payment from the bank so allow enough time for processing to ensure you meet the due date. Please note if you move make sure to contact your financial institution and give them your new Oakville Hydro account number.


Note: When you sign up for a Payment by telephone or PC Banking service you will be asked to enter an 8 digit account number. To do this, enter your 8-digit account number and make sure you remove the hyphen.

Credit Card Payment


We now accept payments using Visa or MasterCard through a bill payment system powered by Paymentus Corporation.

Please Note: Credit cards can not be used in conjunction with the Automatic Payment Plans.


How do Credit Card Payments Work?

Customers have two choices for paying their hydro bill using Visa or MasterCard:

Automatic Payment

 

Our Automatic Payment Plan (APP) offers a convenient, easy way to pay. We offer two plans for our customers.

Convenience
No more cheques to write. No more searching for stamps or worrying about mail delays. Automatic payment ensures your bill is paid on the due date that’s indicated on your bill.

Savings
You save on stamps - and best of all you save TIME!!

The Basic Plan
**Available to both Residential and Business customers**

Your bill will be sent to you as usual. On the due date, the amount due will be automatically deducted from your bank account. You know in advance the exact amount and when it will be paid.

The Equal Payment Plan
**Available to Residential customers only**

Want to level out your utility bills? This plan lets you budget for an equal payment amount each month. A fixed agreed upon amount is automatically deducted from your bank account each month. Your bill will be sent to you as usual and you choose whether to have the payment made on the 2 nd or the 16th of each month.

Your EPP amount is reviewed every year to ensure it is in line with your actual bills and may be increased or decreased depending on your previous 12 months billing history.
