Payment Options

We offer seven different payment options to make paying your invoice as simple and convenient as possible.

You can pay at our 861 Redwood Square office Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For your convenience, we have a drop box just to the left of the front door. Please note that we check the drop box once each day at 8:30 a.m.

Automatic Payment Plans Back to top

Our automatic payment plans provide you with the option of having payments automatically withdrawn from your bank account.

We offer two options: the Basic Plan and the Equal Payment Plan.

For your convenience, you may start or quit a plan anytime. However, once you start either plan, any outstanding balance must paid in full before opting out.

We provide the option of paying through local banks and trust companies as a convenience to our customers. Please note that when you pay at the bank, it can take 3 to 5 business days for that payment to reach us.

We accept payments* using Visa, MasterCard or American Express through a bill payment system powered by Paymentus Corporation.

Please Note: Credit cards cannot be used in conjunction with the Automatic Payment Plan.

Payment Process

You have two options available to pay your hydro bill using Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

*Note: there is a $2.50 fee for every $100.00 payment

Mail Back to top

Use the return envelope provided with your invoice and send your payment back in the mail. Please be sure to mail your payment 3-5 days prior to the due date on the invoice to avoid incurring overdue account interest charges.

Telephone / Online Banking Back to top

Fast, convenient, 24 hour access and you don't need to leave home.

We accept telephone or online payments made through your financial institution. Please check with your financial institution to find out if they offer this service. Please remember – it can take 3 to 5 business days for us to receive the payment from the bank so allow enough time for processing to ensure you meet the due date.

If you move, make sure to contact your financial institution and give them your new Oakville Hydro account number.

Note: When you sign up for a telephone or online payment service, you will be asked to enter an 8-digit Oakville Hydro account number. To do this, enter your 8-digit Oakville Hydro account number and make sure you remove the hyphen.

Example: 123456-8 becomes 1234568

Western Union Back to top

Oakville Hydro accepts payments through Western Union. Payment outlets include A&P and Dominion grocery stores, most Wal-Mart stores, Money Marts, Cash Money and many convenience stores.

Just like any other payment through Western Union, there is a transaction fee associated with the transaction payable to the Western Union outlet by the customer.
