Town of Oakville on their environmental leadership!

Program Results to date :

The “Green Light” program began in March of 2003. In the first 10 months 62,700 kWh of green power was generated and injected into the Ontario electricity grid on behalf of Green Light customers.

Each year customers continue to give the green light to a cleaner environment through this program. To date 638,940 kWh of green power has been generated and injected into the Ontario electricity grid. This is equivalent to the amount of electricity used by 53 homes in a year, and helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (CO 2) by approximately 639 tonnes. The GHG emission reduction varies each year depending on the green electricity mix.

Congratulations Green Light Customers!
