Oakville Hydro Electricity Distribution Inc. (Oakville Hydro), regulated by the Ontario Energy Board, is an electricity distribution company. Using a sophisticated network of remotely switched power lines of approximately 1,400 km, Oakville Hydro has reliably delivered energy to homes and businesses for over a century. Oakville Hydro offers customer service to developers and consumers, as well as designs, builds and maintains Oakville’s state-of-the-art power distribution system. In 2013, Oakville Hydro was recognized as “Large Company of the Year” by the Ontario Energy Association for excellence in service delivery and safety.

Notice of Application and Hearing for a Rate Adjustment

Oakville Hydro Electricity Distribution Inc. has applied to the Ontario Energy Board to increase the amount it charges by $0.03 each month for the typical residential customer beginning on January 1, 2016. Statement Update

Effective August 20, 2015, there are no longer picketing activities taking place at Oakville Hydro’s office - 861 Redwood Square. Customers and visitors are always welcome and should not experience any delays entering our building.

2013 Scorecard for Ontario Electricity Distributors

The Ontario Energy Board has introduced a comprehensive scorecard for all electricity distributors in Ontario to facilitate the evaluation of an electricity distributor’s performance as well as promote the achievement of customer focus, operational effectiveness, public policy responsiveness and financial performance. The Scorecard is an important tool designed to track, over a five year period, an individual distributor’s performance and continuous improvements with ongoing efforts to improve services and/or processes that are valued by our customers. We recently had reports that our customers have been receiving calls from someone who is representing themselves as an employee of Oakville Hydro Electricity Distribution Inc. and asking for customer account information.

We want to assure our customers that Oakville Hydro Electricity Distribution Inc. does not call customers to request account information.

If you receive a phone call, do not provide any information over the telephone unless you are sure who you are speaking to.
